Roman Clemens
Roman Clemens (born February 11, 1910 in Dessau , † February 3, 1992 in Zurich ) was a German set designer and designer.
Life
Roman Clemens was a student at the Bauhaus from 1927 to 1931 (teachers: Paul Klee , Wassili Kandinsky , Oskar Schlemmer ). In 1931 he received the Bauhaus Diploma No. 39. He then worked as a set designer in Dessau until 1932 and then until 1943 at the Zurich Opera House . From 1945 various projects for the space theater, boarding school. Exhibitions. He was the designer of the well-known Zurich cinema “Studio 4” and did numerous stage work for the Zurich Opera House.
Constructivist paintings date from the 1970s and 1980s.
