Roman Gotfryd (* 10. January 1951 in Breslau ) was a Polish boxer in the featherweight .
Career
He was Polish Junior Champion in 1968 and 1969, and Polish Champion in 1973, 1977, 1978 and 1981. At the European Championships in Halle in 1977 , he was only eliminated in the final against Richard Nowakowski and thus secured second place. At the World Championships in Belgrade in 1978 he reached a third place after he was eliminated in the semifinals against Ángel Herrera .
In international matches he defeated, among other things, the later vice world champion Bratislava Ristić in 1974 and the later professional world champion Johnny Bumphus in 1977 .
