Christine Schild (born December 1947 in Dinslaken ) is a German actress .

Life

Schild grew up in Cologne . She received her first engagements in Cologne and Düsseldorf. She was discovered by the actor and director Wolfgang Spier for the theater and the drama stage in Cologne's cabaret and cabaret theater Senftöpfchen . She also received her first acting and speaking lessons from Spier. She later completed a singing and dance training and took acting lessons from Wolfgang Spier's sister Ruth Busse in Berlin. Schild had theater engagements in Berlin , Hamburg , Munich , Cologne, Düsseldorf and Aachen, among others . She has performed touring theater productions in Germany, Switzerland and Austria . Wolfgang Spier was often her partner on stage, as an actor and director.

Schild appeared almost exclusively in the boulevard theater . She played at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm , the Komödie Berlin, the Komödie Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg, the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn , the Komödie im Bayerischer Hof in Munich and the Kleine Komödie at Max II in Munich and the Komödie Dresden . In Berlin she had her breakthrough with the role of Brooke in the comedy "Der nackte Wahnsinn" by Michael Frayn at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm.

In the Theater am Kurfürstendamm Christine Schild appeared in the tabloids and comedies "Sextett" (by Michael Pertwee), "Write if you can" (Peter Lambda / Betty Paul), "Treppauf, Treppab" (by Alan Ayckbourn ), " Mein Friend Harvey ”(as Kelly nurse),“ Up and away ”,“ Three men on a horse ”,“ Tears in the aquarium ”,“ Stepping out ”,“ The naked madness ”,“ Love, lies, stage fright ”,“ Dinner Party ”,“ The model husband ”,“ A conceited sick person ”(according to Molière , 2007/2008, as the greedy wife Béline) and in“ Pension Schöller ”.

In 1981 she played the role of Alice Brown in the comedy "Sextett" at the Theater am Kürfürstendamm; her partners were Wolfgang Spier, Heide Keller , Mogens von Gadow and Evelyn Gressmann . In 1984 she played Kitty in the comedy "Treppauf, Treppab" at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm; her partners were Wolfgang Spier; Karin Eickelbaum , Joachim Kerzel and Ulli Kinalzik . In 1985 she took on the role of the nurse Kelly in the comedy " Mein Freund Harvey " at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm ; her partners were Harald Juhnke , Elisabeth Wiedemann , Ute Willing , Peter Schiff , Corinna Genest and Ilja Richter . From January to March 1986 Schild appeared in the comedy "Write if you can" at the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn; her partners were Wolfgang Spier, Gunther Beth and Hannelore Cremer . In 1990 she played in the comedy "Three men on a horse" in Berlin with Peer Schmidt , Helga Schlack and Heinz Rennhack as partners. In 1992 she played at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in “ Othello mustn't burst ” with Heinz Rennhack and Friedrich Schoenfelder as partners.

In Munich she played at the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof a. a. in "Romance in the Aquarium" with Michael Hinz and in "Stepping out" at the comedy at Max II. In the comedy Winterhuder Faährhaus in Hamburg she played a. a. in: "Auf und Davon" (1988/1989), in "Education for Rita" by Willy Russel (1993/1994; with Peter Bause as partner), "Stepping out" (1994/1995), in Tom Kempinsky's "Duet for a voice ”(2002/2003; with Don Balmer ),“ The model husband ”(2007/2008) and“ An imaginary sick person ”(2007/2008).

With her appearances in Eugène Ionesco's play “The Lesson”, in Willy Russell's “Education for Rita” and in Tom Kempinsky's “Duet for a Voice”, she also showed her aptitude for serious roles.

In 2012 she took over the role of the “quirky writer” Josephine Zillerthal in the revival of the play “Pension Schöller” at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm; Elisabeth Wiedemann and Edith Hancke were among her predecessors in this role . She played this role en suite until August 2013. Since the end of 2012, Schild has appeared in the role of Alice in the tabloid play “Der Kurschattenmann” by René Heinersdorff ; the world premiere took place in November 2012 in Cologne's Theater am Dom . The cast for the premiere included Schild Volker Brandt (Ulrich), Ingrid Steeger (Edith), Beatrice Richter (Isabel) and Simone Rethel (Oda), who was on stage again for the first time after the death of Johannes Heesters . The role of Isabel was taken on by Sibylle Nicolai and Christiane Rücker in later performances ; Jochen Busse took over the role of Ulrich . Schild appeared as Alice in all performances without interruption.

Schild made a guest appearance with this production a. a. at the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn (March – May 2013), in the Theater an der Kö in Düsseldorf (November 2013 – January 2014), in the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm (July / August 2015), in the Theater im Rathaus in Essen (season 2015/16) and in the Munich tour theater production of Komödie im Bayerischer Hof (2015/16 season).

Her other stage partners included in the course of her career u. a. Walter Plathe , Herbert Herrmann , Michael Schanze , Herbert Feuerstein , Claus Biederstaedt , Peter Fricke and Johanna von Koczian .

Several performances and productions of the Theater am Kurfürstendamm were recorded and broadcast for television, so that Schild became known to a larger audience beyond the theater and beyond Berlin. As a partner of Herbert Herrmann, she was seen in 1989 as a journalist Christine in the series Lukas und Sohn in a continuous series lead role. She also had episode roles in the series Manni, der Libero (1982), Kommissariat 9 (1983), I marry a family (1984), Bülowbogen practice (1988) and A strange couple (1991).

Private

From 1981 to 1989 Christine Schild was married to her stage partner Wolfgang Spier. She has been married to the actor and former director of the Theater am Kurfürstendamm Jürgen Wölffer since 1995 . Schild had met Wölffer in the mid-1980s when she was acting under his direction at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm. Since she was still married to Spier at the time, and Wölffer also had a different relationship, Schild did not announce her relationship with Wölffer for over two years. Spier later even took on the role of best man at the marriage of Schild and Wölffer. Schild lives in Berlin.
