Life
Christa Rücker, as she was originally called, is the older of two daughters of the woodcarver, musician and later carpenter Ernst Rücker and his wife Frieda, a trained nurse. After the expulsion, she lived with her parents in Zorneding near Munich .
She became an accountant at a building hardware company and trained as an actor at the Zerboni Drama School from 1962 to 1965 and took private lessons with Lilly Ackermann . At the same time she worked as a photo model and became a cover girl for various magazines. Soon there were also small film roles.
Christiane Rücker, as she called herself now, was regularly used in the film as a “laid-back girl”. In 1969 she received her first theater roles in the Theater am Kurfürstendamm through Harry Meyen . She later concentrated primarily on theater work and had great stage success as Gigi in 1974 in Vienna and 1976 in Berlin at the side of Johannes Heesters . She was equally successful as Irma la Douce . She played mainly in Berlin , Hamburg , Frankfurt and Cologne , mostly on tours.
Felix Dvorak brought her several times to the Berndorfer Festival, which he directed, and to his satirical TV show MAD IN AUSTRIA, which was awarded in Montreux .
After several affairs, u. a. with US series star Ty Hardin , and a failed relationship with writer and director Andreas Raab, she attempted suicide in April 1979 using sleeping pills and alcohol. Then she found a new livelihood in the Veda , since then she has been vegetarian and alcohol-free.
In 1982 she committed herself to putting all her skills into the service of charity work. She founded the association "Goldener Lotus, Hilfswerk Bengal", which works for the needy in West Bengal. Allegations of donation fraud and forgery of documents as well as the connection to Hare Krishna , such as those raised by the Illustrierte Quick and the sect representative Friedrich Wilhelm Haack , could be dismissed in court.
Christiane Rücker was married to her childhood friend Clemens from 1965 until the divorce on September 16, 1968. In 1992 she married a journalist from Sarajevo , they were married according to the Vedic ritual.
