action

Rear admiral Dagobert von Kattnig developed a rescue system, abbreviated ARSCH , for the German Navy. The device is to be tested by the mountain troops in Upper Bavaria, and the rear admiral sends his son, Captain Heinz von Kattnig, and his staff member, Wigbert Kraft, there for a look. The mountain hunters did not even test the device, however, as they are mostly busy enjoying the peaceful life. The Colonel is therefore very nervous when he learns of the upcoming inspection. At the train station, mountain hunter Ignaz Hund confuses the two representatives Momme Schulz and Adam Kahlfuß with the two naval officers. They play the game because they don't have the money to make ends meet. When the real naval officers arrive, the chaos is perfect.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films judged: "All military clothes below the limits of the level."

Filmecho / Filmwoche said that the film was a lot of fun, especially “thanks to Gunther Philipps' splendid sergeant foolishness and Hans Terofal's jerks à la Karl Valentin”. They would have demoted Eddi Arent and Ilja Richter to pale clowns. In general, idiocy is very popular: "Ostfriesenwitz and Karl Valentin are currently brands that film producers can use as a guide."
