European Boxing Championships 1977

The 22nd men's European boxing championships for amateurs in 1977 were held from May 28 to June 5, 1977 in the ice rink in Halle (Saale) in the German Democratic Republic . 146 boxers from 27 countries took part in the title fights and determined the champions in eleven weight classes. The boxers of the Soviet Union won five titles, making them the most successful nation in this championship. Only Valery Limassow managed to win another European Championship title. This time he came one weight class higher than 1975 to title honors.
