1904 World Weightlifting Championships

The 5th world championships in weightlifting took place on April 18, 1904 in the cisleithan capital Vienna . Thirteen weightlifters from four nations took part in the competitions held by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) . The Viennese Josef Steinbach became world champion in eight-fight , ahead of his compatriots Josef Grafl and Johann Staudinger .
