World Weightlifting Championships 1947

The 26th World Weightlifting Championships took place from September 26 to 27, 1947 in the US city ​​of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania . 39 weightlifters from twelve nations took part in the competitions held by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) in a three-way battle (two-armed pushing, tearing and pushing) .
