World Weightlifting Championships 1962

The 37th World Weightlifting Championships took place from September 16 to 22, 1962 in the Hungarian capital Budapest . 113 weightlifters from 27 nations took part in the competitions organized by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) . The Soviet Union was again the most successful nation, followed by hosts Hungary, as well as Japan and the United Kingdom .
