Rudolf Kozłowski

Rudolf Kozłowski (born July 15, 1935 in Hindenburg ) is a former Polish weightlifter.

Career

Rudolf Kozłowski comes from Hindenburg in Upper Silesia and studied electrical engineering. The 1.56 cm tall athlete was a member of Górnik Zabrze from 1956 to 1968 . In 1956 he also began weightlifting and in 1959 he was ready to take part in the Polish championships. Until 1972 he placed ten times among the three best lifters at the Polish championships and was Polish featherweight champion in 1962 and 1964 (at that time up to 60 kg body weight). At the European Championship in 1960 he won his first international medal, which was to be followed by several more.

In 1973 Rudolf Kozłowski moved with his family to the Federal Republic of Germany . He started for a few years for KSV 1884 Mannheim (later also for AC Altrip) mainly in team fights and very successfully at national and international championships of the "Masters" (from 35 years).
