Roman Lazarevich Karmen
Roman Karmen ( Russian Роман Лазаревич Кармен ; born November 16 . Jul / 29. November 1906 greg. In Odessa ; † 28. April 1978 in Moscow ) was a Soviet documentary filmmaker and cinematographer . In 1969 he received the GDR Art Prize for his documentary film Towarisch Berlin .
Karmen is buried in Moscow's Novodevichy Cemetery.
