Roman Mittelholzer (born June 21, 1992 ) is a Swiss floorball player on the position of striker. Mittelholzer is at the National League A club UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen under contract.

Career

As a player

UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen

Mittelholzer went through all junior teams of the UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen. The striker was integrated into the first-team squad during the 2010/11 season.

On January 12, 2017, the club announced in a statement that Mittelholzer will continue to appear for the club in the 2017/18 season. The 2017/18 season will be his seventh at St. Gallen for the communicative player and captain of the first team. On March 1, 2018, the UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen extended the contract for another two years.

National team

In 2017 Mittelholzer was called up for the first time for the Swiss national team as part of the Euro Floorball Tour in Kirchberg BE . At the same time he managed his first assist at EFT. Due to the absence of Dan Hartman, Mittelholzer was nominated for the qualification for the 2018 World Cup. In the first game against Italy Mittelholzer scored his first goal for the senior national team.

As a trainer

Mittelholzer will take on the role of assistant trainer for the U18 juniors at UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen.

Private

His brother, Thomas , also plays for the UHC Waldkirch-St. Gallen. Mittelholzer will complete his primary school teacher training in 2017.
