Roman Steinberg
Roman Steinberg (born April 5, 1900 in Tallinn , † April 16, 1928 there ) was an Estonian wrestler .
Athletic performance
In 1920 Steinberg began his career as a wrestler. From 1921 to 1923 he was three times Estonian wrestling champion under his coach Robert Oksa (1921 middleweight, 1922 and 1923 light heavyweight). Steinberg won the bronze medal in middleweight (up to 75 kg) in the Greco-Roman style behind the two Finns Edvard Vesterlund and Arthur Lindfors at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris .
Steinberg died of tuberculosis in Tallinn at the age of only 28 .
