Romano Garagnani (born June 6, 1937 in Modena , † January 30, 1999 ibid) was an Italian marksman in the discipline of skeet .
successes
Romano Garagnani took part in four Olympic Games . At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , he was one of three shooters to score a total of 198 hits, the best result in the competition. In the subsequent jump-off, Yevgeny Petrow was the only one to hit all 25 goals and thus became Olympic champion ahead of Garagnani and Konrad Wirnhier . In the second round of the jump-off, Garagnani had prevailed with 25:23 goals against Wirnhier and thus won the silver medal. In 1972 in Munich , he took tenth place. He finished the 1976 Games in Montreal in eleventh place, four years later he did not get past 28th place in Moscow .
In 1978 Garagnani became world champion with the team in Seoul . He had previously won bronze with her in 1971 in Bologna , which he achieved again in 1979 in Montecatini Terme . He also won bronze individually in 1969 in San Sebastián and in 1978 in Seoul. At the European Championships, he also secured the title in 1978.
