Ronald M. Bozman

Ronald "Ron" M. Bozman (* before 1965 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American film producer . At the Academy Awards in 1992 he won the Oscar for best film with The Silence of the Lambs together with Edward Saxon and Kenneth Utt .

Life

Bozman grew up in Garland , Texas. After attending the local high school (senior year 1965) he studied psychology at Rice University and received a Bachelor of Arts .

Bozman started his film career in 1974 as Director Production for the film Blood Court in Texas . He then worked as an assistant director in the 1980s, including The Muppets Conquer Manhattan (1984), Dangerous Girlfriend (1986) and The Mafiosi Bride (1988). In 1981 he received a Directors Guild of America Award as an assistant director on the television film Cross of Violence . He then worked increasingly as a film producer. 1992 received an Oscar, a Producers Guild of America Award and his second Directors Guild of America Award for The Silence of the Lambs .

Two years later he was executive producer at Philadelphia (1994). His other successes include No Panic - good hostages are rare (1994), Eddie (1996), Menschenkind (1998), Aus Liebe zum Spiel (1999), Spurwechsel (2002), The human blemish (2003), The women of Stepford (2004), Seduced to Undress (2006), Seduction of a Stranger (2007) and Shopaholic - The Bargain Hunter (2009). He was also assistant director for some of these films.
