Edward Saxon

Edward Saxon (born November 17, 1956 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American film producer .

Life

Saxon attended McGill University between 1976 and 1980 and then the USC School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California . He worked with Jonathan Demme for many years and films together include That Thing You Do! , Miami Blues and Philadelphia . Saxon received an Oscar for The Silence of the Lambs .

After The Truth About Charlie , Demme and Saxon parted ways. He then produced Richard Linklater's Fast Food Nation, among others .
