Ron Vainshtein (born February 10, 1995 ) is an Israeli ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Maccabi Metulla Eggenbreggers in the Israeli ice hockey league since 2012 .

Career

Vainshtein began his career at HC Metulla , for whom he made his debut in the Israeli ice hockey league in the 2010/11 season . In his debut season, he became national champions with the team from Israel's northernmost town . Since 2012 he has played for local rivals Maccabi Metulla Eggenbreggers .

International

In the junior division, Vainshtein played for Israel at the U18 World Championships in 2011 and 2013 , where he played in Division III.

For the men's national team , Vainshtain made his debut at the 2013 World Cup when he was promoted from Group B to Group A with his team in Division II. He also played in Division II at the 2015 World Cup . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang .
