Ronald Åhman (or: Ronald Åman ; born January 31, 1957 ) is a former Swedish football player .

career

Åhman started his football career at Örebro SK . There he made his debut on July 31, 1975 in the game against GIF Sundsvall in the Allsvenskan . By 1978 he ran in 79 games for the club in the Swedish elite series and was in the starting line-up in 77 games. After relegation to Division 2 , he moved to league rivals Djurgårdens IF in 1979 . In 1984 he ended his career. From 1985 to 1992 he played in the advertising series .

Åhman also played seven times for the Swedish national team . In the 3-1 victory over the selection of the FRG on April 19, 1978 in the home Råsundastadion , he stood for the first time in national jersey on the grass. In the summer he was part of the national team at the 1978 World Cup . Without his participation, the team failed after only one draw and two defeats in the first group stage. After that it was only used irregularly. After two games in qualifying for the 1980 European Championship , he came to his last international game on June 10, 1979 when the Swedish selection separated 0-0 at Råsundastadion from England .
