Ronald is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kittitas County , Washington state . At the United States Census 2000 Ronald had 265 residents.
Ronald is named after Alexander Ronald, a former superintendent of coal mines in the area.

The region has warm (not hot) summers with average monthly temperatures of no more than 22 ° C. According to the Köppen and Geiger climate classification , Ronald is in a zone of warm summer Mediterranean climates (abbreviated to "Csb").
Demographics
As of the 2000 census , Ronald had 265 residents, 103 households, and 66 families. The population density was 127.9 per km ². There were 186 housing units at an average density of 89.8 per km².
The population consisted of 96.23% white , 1.13% African American , 1.51% Indian , 0.38% Asian , 0.38% other "races" and 0.38% % from two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 2.64% of the population.
Of the 103 households, 32% had children under the age of 18, 46.6% were run by married couples living together, and 13.6% by single mothers; 35% were non-families. 20.4% of households were singles and 13.6% were single people over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 3.01.
