Easton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kittitas County , Washington state . As of the 2010 United States Census , Easton had 478 residents.

history

Easton was parceled out in 1902. The name was given by the Northern Pacific Railway because of its proximity to the east exit of the Stampede Tunnel .

The region's climate is characterized by warm (but not hot) and dry summers with average monthly temperatures below 22 ° C. According to the Köppen and Geiger climate classification , it is a warm Mediterranean climate (abbreviated to "Csb").
