Easton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kittitas County , Washington state . As of the 2010 United States Census , Easton had 478 residents.
history
Easton was parceled out in 1902. The name was given by the Northern Pacific Railway because of its proximity to the east exit of the Stampede Tunnel .

The region's climate is characterized by warm (but not hot) and dry summers with average monthly temperatures below 22 ° C. According to the Köppen and Geiger climate classification , it is a warm Mediterranean climate (abbreviated to "Csb").
Demographics
As of the 2000 census , there were 383 residents, 151 households, and 104 families in Easton. The population density was 88 per km². There were 228 housing units at an average density of 52.4 per km².
The population was 91.91% whites , 0.78% Indians , 6.53% other "races" and 0.78% two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 9.14% of the population.
Of the 151 households, 35.1% had children under the age of 18, 54.3% were run by married couples living together and 7.3% by single mothers; 31.1% were non-families. 21.9% of households were singles and 4% were single people over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 2.94.
The median age in the city was 35 years. 28.7% of the population were under 18, 7.3% between 18 and 24, 29.5% between 25 and 44, 23% between 45 and 64 and 11.5 65 years or older. There were 124 men for every 100 women, and 125.6 men for every 100 women over the age of 18.

Men had a median income of US $ 33,750 versus US $ 20,357 for women. The per capita income was US $ 19,773.
