Ronald Gavril

Ronald Gavril (* 10. July 1986 in Bacau , Romania ) is a former Romanian amateur boxer in Supermittel- and middleweight and current professional boxer at super middleweight. He is promoted by Floyd Mayweather Jr. and trained by Eddie Mustafa Muhammad .

Amateur career

Gavril is considered a very successful amateur boxer. In 2003 he won a bronze middleweight medal at the Cadet World Championships . In 2005 he also won bronze in the middleweight division at the EU championships .

In 2009 and 2010 Gavril was each Romanian champion in the super middleweight division.

His match record was 165-15.

Professional career

The left wingman made his debut on December 1, 2011 with a win by TKo in the 3rd round against Gilbert Gastelum.

In 2015 he defeated the until then unbeaten Oscar Riojas (match record 11-0-0) over 8 rounds clearly on points.

In October of the following year, Gavril faced Christopher Brooker in a 10-round battle, who until then had only suffered one defeat. This fight was about the vacant North American championship belt of the NABF association . Gavril won this fight by technical knockout in the 10th round.
