Rong Ningning (born October 5, 1997 ) is a Chinese wrestler . She became world champion in 2018 and vice-world champion in 2019 in the weight class up to 57 kg body weight
Career
Rong Ningning comes from the Xianjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (formerly Sinkiang), where she also lives and trains. She started wrestling in 2010. Your trainer is Xu Kuiyuan. It is not known whether she is Uyghur or Chinese and which club she belongs to.
She made her debut on the international wrestling mat at the Asian Junior Championship 2015 in Nay Pyi Taw, Miyanmar, where she came 3rd in the weight class up to 59 kg. In 2016 she started at the Asian Women's Championship in Bangkok in the weight class up to 55 kg, but lost there in the quarter-finals against the Japanese Momoko Kadoya and only came in 8th place.
In August 2017 it was used for the first time at a world championship for women that took place in Paris in the weight class up to 58 kg. After two wins, she lost there in the quarterfinals against Marwa Amri from Tunisia, but was able to continue wrestling in the consolation round, where she lost after another fight won, but in the fight for a bronze medal against Aisuluu A Tinibekowa from Kyrgyzstan.
The year 2018 was extremely successful for her. She won the “Ivan Jarygin” Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk in January of this year, and shortly afterwards became Asian champion in the weight class up to 59 kg in Bishkek. In June 2018 she took first place in the weight class up to 57 kg at the China Open in Wenzhou and in September 2018 at the Poland Open in Warsaw. She completed her success by winning the world title at the World Championships in Budapest in October 2018. In the weight class up to 57 kg, she won there over Aljona Kolesnik, Azerbaijan, Pooja Dhanda, India, Grace Jacob Bullen , Norway and Biljana Schiwkowa , Bulgaria. In November 2018 she only finished 2nd at the U23 World Championships in Bucharest in the weight class up to 59 kg, because she lost there in the final against Grace Jacob Bullen.
She took revenge against Grace Bullen in March 2019 at the "Dan Kolow" & "Nikola Petrow" memorial in Sofia, where she won the final against Grace Bullen. In April 2019 she became Asian champion in the weight class up to 57 kg in Xi'an. She defeated it in the final the North Korean Jong Myong-suk , who had defeated the Japanese Kaori Icho in the semifinals . At the 2019 World Championships in Nur-Sultan Rong Ningning started again in the very strong weight class up to 57 kg. After winning three fights, she met the Japanese Risako Kawai in the final , against whom she lost just 6: 9 points.
