The Rosales Rocks ( English for Rocas Rosales in Spanish ) are a group of cliff rocks in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They are located in the northwest of Discovery Bay on Greenwich Island between Punta Hermosilla and Punta Troncoso west-northwest of Bonert Rock .
Scientists from the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) carried out measurements there and named them after an officer on board the Iquique during this research trip . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2005.
