The Rosalienkapelle stands above the village in the municipality of Ritzing in the Oberpullendorf district in Burgenland . The chapel of the Ritzing parish church , consecrated to Saint Rosalia , belongs to the Deutschkreutz deanery of the Eisenstadt diocese . The chapel is under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

The chapel was donated by a local resident and built in 1732. The founder was a soldier under Prince Eugene of Savoy in the Battle of Belgrade in 1717 .

architecture

The simple baroque chapel under a gable roof with a ridge turret immediately behind the gable portal front closes at the apse with a three-eighth closure. The gable front has two pillars on the left and right, between the arched portal with a stone wall , above a wall niche with the stone figure Madonna with Child as a bell Madonna based on the Eisenstadt miraculous image. A profiled cornice runs under the eaves , which also runs through the gable front. The gable closes straight at the top and is curved to the side. The chapel has two arched windows along the east side.

The chapel is vaulted inside .
