Roschewe ( Ukrainian Рожеве ; Russian Рожевое Roschewoje , Polish Rożewo , German  Rosenburg ) is a village in the western Ukrainian Lviv Oblast with about 250 inhabitants.

history

During the first partition of Poland , the chamber goods of the Starostei in Przemyśl with Piatnyzja came to the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804).

The village was established in 1783 in the course of the Josephine colonization on the ground of the village of Piatnytsia. German colonists of the Catholic denomination were settled there. The colony was called Rosenburg and became an independent municipality. In 1900 the municipality of Rosenburg had 53 houses with 303 inhabitants, of which 216 were German-speaking, 87 Polish-speaking, 291 Roman Catholic, 5 Greek Catholic, and 7 Jews.

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Rosenburg became part of Poland.

In 1921 the community of Rosenburg had 52 houses with 294 inhabitants, 184 of them Poles, 19 Ruthenians, 91 Germans, 266 Roman Catholics, 24 Greek Catholics and 4 Jews.

On March 11, 1939, the name Rosenburg was changed to Radyczówka .

During the Second World War it belonged first to the Soviet Union and from 1941 to the General Government, from 1945 back to the Soviet Union, now part of the Ukraine .
