Rose Finn-Kelcey

Rose Finn-Kelcey (born March 4, 1945 in Northampton , † February 13, 2014 in London ) was a British artist.

Finn-Kelcey grew up in rural Buckinghamshire as part of a conservative family. She first attended the Ravensbourne College of Art and Design and later the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. From 1968 she lived and worked in London. She mainly worked in the areas of performance , video art , sound , installation , sculpture and photography .

Finn-Kelcey's work is shown internationally. In 1990 she took part in Rhetorical Image at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City and in 1992 at documenta IX in Kassel. In 1997 she had a solo exhibition at the Camden Arts Center in London. In 1999 she showed Linhas de Sombra in the Centro de Arte Moderna in Lisbon.
