Rose Pauly (politician)

Rose Felicitas Pauly (born June 8, 1938 in Düsseldorf ) is a Hamburg politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and work

Pauly studied at the University of Hamburg and graduated with a degree in business administration. She worked as an innkeeper . She is widowed and has two children.

In 1974 she began volunteering in the " German Hotel and Restaurant Association " (DeHoGa). From 1978 to 1993 she was deputy chairwoman of the association and from 1993 president of the regional association. From 1984 she was a member of the executive committee and treasurer of the federal association.

She joined the FDP in 1982. She was a member of the state executive from 1985 and was deputy state chairman from 1989 to 1994.

She was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from 1987 to 1993 and from 2001 to 2004 . She sat for her group in the Transport Committee, the Committee on Property and Public Enterprises and the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs.

For the 15th electoral term in 1993 she was no longer nominated by her party for the general election. In the 17th electoral term in 2001 she was taken into account again and was Vice-President of the Citizenship until 2004. Since the 2019 district assembly election, she has been a member of the district assembly in the Altona district .
