Rosi Röhm

Rosi Röhm (* 1951 in Königswinter ) is a German artist and sculptor . She lives and works in the Rhenish Hessian youth home .

artistic education

Rosi Röhm began her artistic training between 2000 and 2005 with courses in the Ceramique de la Gare workshop in Éguelshardt , France , where she was taught the versatility of clay as a medium for sculptural design. From 2008 to 2012 she made stone carvings for Peter Rübsam in Düsseldorf . From 2013 to 2014 Rosi Röhm then took sculpture courses at the summer academy on the Löwenburg in the Siebengebirge with Benedikt Birckenbach and Ulrich Forster.

Create clay

For her naturalistic works, Röhm mainly uses different types of clay and stone, but also bronze and wood. It does not use glazes, leaves the clay in its natural texture and only achieves the special effects through engobes , color pigments , oxides and wax . Her favorite subject is women.
