Benedikt Birckenbach

Benedikt Birckenbach (* 1965 in Düsseldorf ) is a German freelance artist . He is a sculptor, draftsman, graphic artist and deals with art in construction and installations.

Life

From 1990 to 1996 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg with Wilhelm Uhlig and Tim Scott and was a master student with Tim Scott in 1996. Since 2008 he has been teaching at RWTH Aachen University as a research assistant and head of the stone workshop at the plastic chair or as a lecturer at the international Pentiment summer academy in Hamburg. Benedikt Birckenbach lives and works in Troisdorf and uses an old vehicle hall as a spacious studio.

Solo exhibitions / selection

Since 1996, Benedict Birckenbach exhibited at group exhibitions, so at the Great Art Exhibition in Munich, at the Darmstadt Secession , at the Art Cologne , Galerie Koch, on the Art Karlsruhe , the Kunstverein Wilhelmshöhe Ettlingen, the Kunstmuseum singing and the Museum de Fundatie - Kasteel het Nijenhuis (Netherlands).

Public property

Works by Benedikt Birckenbach can be found in the following collections: the Bavarian State Government, the Bavarian State Painting Collection , the Museum Würth Künzelsau, in the GSF Research Center for Environment and Health (Neuherberg). As well as in public space: the city of Leverkusen, on Rheinauen Carré in Bonn, in the domicile Am Venusberg in Bonn and in front of the AOK-Systems in Bonn.
