Rossau is a hamlet in the northwestern political municipality of Mettmenstetten in the Affoltern district of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland . Knonau , Ebertswil , Hauptikon and Uerzlikon border on Rossau . In the hamlet there is a bus station with an hourly connection to Mettmenstetten.
The Grand Prix Rossau soap box race organized by the Sport Club Rossau takes place every year.
The Engelberg Abbey had partially settled judicial competence in Rossau and Obermettmenstetten. The communities of Rossau, which had been independent before 1798, continued to exist as civil parishes in the 19th century until Ober- and Untermettmenstetten were united in 1895 and all civil parishes were abolished in 1929.
