The Rostock Landfrieden was a treaty concluded in Rostock on June 13, 1283 for land and sea pacification as well as for the protection of customs and other freedoms. The contracting parties undertook to refrain from using force in order to enforce their own legal claims for ten years. This contract was the basis for the economic rise of Wismar and other port cities on the Baltic Sea.

The parties involved were the Hanseatic cities of Lübeck , Rostock , Wismar , Stralsund , Greifswald , Stettin , Demmin and Anklam as well as the dukes of Saxony and Pomerania , the princes of Rügen , the lords of Schwerin and Dannenberg and the knighthood of Rostock.
