Roy Friedrich (born February 1, 1988 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Friedrich started his volleyball career in 1999. From 2005 to 2007 he was trained at VC Olympia Berlin . During this time he also played in the German national junior team. After a season with the Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen , he moved to VC Leipzig in 2008 . Although Friedrich, with his personal statistics, was one of the best middle blockers that season, he could not prevent his club from relegating from the Bundesliga. He then switched to Generali Haching and was able to celebrate victory in the DVV Cup and the runner-up in his first season with Bayern . In 2011 and 2013 Haching repeated the cup victory with Friedrich and the runner-up in 2012. In 2013, Friedrich moved to the second division TSV Herrsching , with whom he was promoted to the German upper house after a third place in 2013/14 in the second Bundesliga South , where he was active until 2017. He then moved to the second division team Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching II.
