Roy Newman (racing driver)

Roy Newman (born May 30, 1922 in New Albany , Indiana , † July 23, 1970 in Kokomo , Indiana) was an American racing car driver .

Newman began his career as a motorcycle racer and also competed in many midget car races. He was also a talented piano player.

In 1953, he failed to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 .
