Roy Sherwood (born June 11, 1932 in Salisbury , Connecticut , † October 19, 2017 ) was an American ski jumper .

Career

Sherwood won the US championship in individual jumping at the US championships in 1954 on Suicide Hill in Ishpeming .

At the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , he reached 36th place with jumps on 71.5 and 68 meters.

After the end of his active ski jumping career, Sherwood began working as a youth coach in his hometown of Salisbury. He also worked as a ski jumping judge for a long time.
