Rubicon is an American television series from 2010. The idea for the series came from Jason Horwitch and the showrunner was Henry Bromell . Rubicon is the AMC broadcaster's third series but failed to achieve breakthroughs like Mad Men and Breaking Bad and was discontinued after season one due to insufficient audience numbers.

The series is about an information analyst at a national think tank . He finds out that his employees may be part of a secret society that manipulates events around the world.

Production and broadcast

The first and only season consists of 13 episodes.

On June 13, 2010, the 46-minute pilot episode was broadcast in advance as a preview after the season finale of the third season of Breaking Bad . On July 25, the regular broadcast of Rubicon began with a repetition of the first episode, the 13th and final episode of the series ran on October 17, 2010. On November 11, 2010, the broadcaster AMC officially announced the cancellation of the series.

There are no plans to release the series on DVD or Blu-ray . In the United States, the series is available on Amazon Instant Video .
