Dallas Mark Roberts (born May 10, 1970 in Houston ) is an American actor .

Life

Dallas Roberts had one of his first roles in 1997 in the form of a guest appearance on the series New York Undercover . In 2004 he played a leading role in the drama A Home at World's End . For this role he was nominated for the 2004 Breakthrough Actor Award . In 2005 he played the music producer Sam Phillips in the biopic Walk the Line . In 2007 he played other supporting roles in the Western Death Train to Yuma , in 2009 in the thriller drama The Black Heart and in 2011 in the adventure film The Gray . From 2006 to 2009 he played the role of Angus Partridge in The L Word and in 2010 that of Miles Fiedler in the short-lived AMC series Rubicon . From 2012 to 2013 Roberts took on the supporting role of the researcher Milton Mamet in the television series The Walking Dead . He plays the father of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the 2017 coming-of-age film My Friend Dahmer .
