Rubin Kabirowitsch Abdullin

Rubin Kabirowitsch Abdullin ( Tatar Rubin Käbir ulı Abdullin , Russian Рубин Кабирович Абдуллин ; born August 19, 1950 in Yoshkar-Ola , Mari El , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian pianist, organist and music teacher.

life and career

Ruben Abdullin studied piano at the Kazan State Conservatory and organ at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg . He received his doctorate from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory . Since 1973 he has been teaching organ and piano at the Kazan Conservatory. In 1988 he was elected rector of the Kazan Conservatory. Since 1992 he has been a professor of organ and piano at the Kazan Conservatory. During his rectorate several new units were set up at the university. a. for opera studies and Tartar folk music.

Abdullin is President of the Association of Russian Organists.

Musical creation

Abdullins gave concerts in many cities in Russia as well as u. a. in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland. His repertoire includes all major styles of music from the Renaissance to the present. He developed over 100 concert programs for organ music.

Awards

Abdullin has received several awards for his musical and music pedagogical work. a. he received the State Prize of the Russian Federation (2000) and was honored with the titles of People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan (1992) and People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2007).
