Rudaj organization

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rudaj Organization , also known as The Corporation, is a criminal organization based in New York City , America . The Rudaj Organization was founded in 1993 by Alex Rudaj , an Albanian immigrant, in Westchester . After a short time the organization expanded its power to the Bronx and Queens .

The Rudaj Organization was seen by many as the "sixth family" in New York. The supremacy of the Italian-born mafia organization La Cosa Nostra appeared threatened by the rise of the Albanian mafia , especially in New York and other large cities on the east coast. According to the FBI , numerous members of the Rudaj organization had previously worked as "enforcers" of established Mafia organizations.

When the FBI hit a big blow against La Cosa Nostra , the rise of the Albanians began, including those from Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro, who were integrated into the mafia-like structures. According to the FBI, other organized crime groups were far more subtle and less violent than the Albanian mafia. The Rudaj organization was broken up in 2004.
