Rudolf "Rudi" Hübner (born June 15, 1986 in Riga ) is a German football player . His preferred position is in the attack, but he is also often used in attacking midfield.

Career

After the youth departments of Rot-Weiß Darmstadt , Huebner , who is still based in Griesheim , reached the sixth class Landesliga Hessen Süd at SC Viktoria Griesheim in the 2006/07 season. With the relegation of SV Darmstadt 98 to the fourth-class Oberliga Hessen in 2007/08, Hübner came to the Lilien Oberligakader , where he was initially committed as a prospective player by then coach Gerhard Kleppinger , but then played his way into the first team with impressive performances. With various goals against higher-class opponents, such as the 1-1 equalization against the first division club VfL Bochum , in the DFB Cup against the second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth and in the charity match against FC Bayern Munich , Hübner became a crowd favorite in Darmstadt in 2007/08, was cheered at every ball contact with Rudi chants and was the only one to receive its own goal jingle.

Huebner managed with his team as the league champion confidently the promotion to the fourth-class Regionalliga Süd 2008/09, in which he already scored significantly fewer goals, which was primarily due to the fact that he was used in midfield. After being able to stay out of the league, Hübner was forced to focus on his studies and take it easy with football. So it came to the change to Rot-Weiß Darmstadt in the sixth class Verbandsliga Hessen Süd 2009/10, in which Hübner was a guarantee for the success of the Red-White and had a high share in their promotion to the fifth class Hessenliga.

However, Hübner then decided to concentrate more on football again. A return to SV98 did not come about at first, so he came in 2010/11 in the Regionalliga Süd at Wormatia Worms , where he scored 17 goals in 30 games. At the same time, SV Darmstadt 98 made it to the 3rd division - immediately after the promotion, Rudi Huebner was announced as the first transfer to the lilies. On July 23, 2011, Hübner played his first third division game for SVD. Under coach Kosta Runjaic , Huebner got regular third division appearances, which under Jürgen Seeberger and Dirk Schuster were significantly fewer. In the third division season 2013/14 Hübner came on only once before his contract with the lilies during the winter break, on January 21, 2014, was terminated by mutual agreement.

Hübner first moved to the Hessen division FSV Fernwald , for whom he played six games by the summer of 2014. After the voluntary withdrawal of FSV Fernwald, he signed for the 2014/15 season with league competitor 1. FC Eschborn . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he moved to SV Wiesbaden in the same league .
