Rudi Strothmüller

Rudi Strothmüller (born May 4, 1948 ) is a German singer and entertainer .

Rudi Strothmüller studied music in the subjects French horn , guitar and singing at the Dortmund University of Music . After that he was first singer in the big band of the Bundeswehr under the direction of Günter Noris , and then in the private "Günter Noris Big Band" for a total of 10 years.

He worked as a musician with Ray Charles , Charles Aznavour, among others . He also founded various music ensembles , u. a. "Voice Power", which he also leads artistically.

Since the end of the 1990s Strothmüller has directed the "Hansatheater" ensemble, with which he moved into a former cinema in downtown Dortmund as "Theater Hansastraße", which remained the home theater until 2003. Then the premises were converted into the new " domicil " jazz club. The Hansatheater ensemble stayed together and gave guest performances in other houses for four years . In March 2007, Strothmüller opened the new Hansa Theater Hörde in Dortmund's Hörde district with the old ensemble .

In Dortmund and the surrounding area, he is best known for his Frank Sinatra - Revue My Way , which was seen for a long time in the Hansatheater and later in guest performances.

Strothmüller also works as a show manager, u. a. for the VoiSis singing group , in which his two daughters Inga Strothmüller and Nadine Strothmüller also participate.

At the end of the 1970s, Rudi Strothmüller also received the first lectureship in popular singing in Germany at the Dortmund Music School, which he continues to this day.
