Rudolf Simon Bekink (born September 30, 1950 in Assen ) is a Dutch diplomat a. D.

Life

Rudolf Bekink was born in Assen in 1950 and studied economics at the University of Groningen by 1974 . In 1976 he started working for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with stays abroad in Greece and Angola. From 1986 to 1989 he was chargé d'affaires in Ghana , from 1989 to 1992 he took over duties in the ministry again and from 1992 to 1997 he was Deputy Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the OECD in Paris . 1997 to 2000 he was chief of protocol in the Foreign Ministry and was a. a. responsible for state visits to the Netherlands.

From 2000 he took over the management of a number of Dutch missions abroad : from 2000 to 2004 in Stockholm , from 2004 to 2008 in Brussels , from 2008 to 2012 in Beijing and from 2012 to 2015 in Washington, DC

Rudolf Bekink is married to the American businesswoman Gabrielle de Kuyper and has three grown sons.
