Rudolf Bock (born January 4, 1924 in Detmold , † March 19, 2008 in Koblenz ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Rudolf Bock attended elementary school and high school in Koblenz. From 1942 to 1945 he did military service and was then taken prisoner by the Americans. In 1945 he joined the Koblenz city administration and became city inspector at the youth welfare office. From 1977 to 1987 he was managing director of the youth hostels in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland .

politics

In 1945 Bock became a member of the SPD and a member of the Jusos district executive, Juso district chairman for Rhineland / Hessen-Nassau. In 1948 he became a member of the SPD district committee for Rhineland / Hessen-Nassau. In terms of local politics, he was a member of the Kaltenengers local council from 1952 to 1965, from 1956 to 1964 a member of the council of the former Weißenthurm office and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Weißenthurm office. From 1965 to 1977 he was the full-time mayor of Weißenthurm . He was a member of the district council and the district committees Koblenz-Land and Mayen-Koblenz and deputy chairman of the SPD sub-district Koblenz-Ahrweiler.

He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from May 18, 1963 to May 17, 1967. In the state parliament he was a member of the cultural policy committee and the social policy committee.

In addition, he was a member of the Bund New Germany and a member of the press commission of "Freedom".
