Rudolf Dammeier
Rudolf Dammeier (born January 18, 1851 in Berlin ; † June 12, 1936 there ) was a German genre and portrait painter and etcher.
Rudolf Dammeier studied from 1871 to 1875 at the Berlin Bauakademie , from 1875 to 1878 at the Royal Prussian Academy of Arts with Karl Gussow and from 1879 to 1880 at the Karlsruhe Art School with Ernst Hildebrand .
He spent the period from 1890 to 1893 in Munich , then returned to Berlin.
He took part in numerous art exhibitions: from 1890 to 1892 at the Berlin Academy Exhibition , from 1896 at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition , from 1899 to 1900 at the Berlin Secession and from 1900 in the Munich Glass Palace . At the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900 he was awarded an Honorable Mention . He was a member of the Association of Berlin Artists .
Rudolf Dammeier died in Berlin in 1936 at the age of 85 and was buried in the Luisenstadt cemetery in Kreuzberg . His grave has not been preserved.
