Rudolf Doubek (* 1942 or 1943; † May 10, 2013 in Vysoké nad Jizerou ) was a Czechoslovakian ski jumper .

Career

Doubek made his international debut at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1962 in Zakopane , where he reached 20th place on the normal hill. After two years he started again internationally in the Four Hills Tournament 1964/65 . However, he only jumped in Oberstdorf and after a 44th place on the Schattenbergschanze he was able to reach the 59th place in the overall tournament ranking.

In his second Four Hills Tournament in 1967/68 he started in all jumping competitions except Oberstdorf. Despite rather mixed placements, he finished his most successful tour with 755.5 points and thus rank 20 in the tour's overall ranking. Almost two later at the Four Hills Tournament 1969/70 he started on all four hills for the first time and finished 28th in the overall ranking. His best placement was an 18th place in Innsbruck .

In his last Four Hills Tournament in 1970/71 he was able to improve his performance again. In Bischofshofen he also achieved his best individual result with rank 17. He finished the tour in 22nd place overall.

Doubek was also active in cross-country skiing, volleyball and above all in football. As a striker of the football team of TJ Vysoké nad Jizerou, he was the record scorer. After finishing his active sporting career, he coached the football department of the club and later was president of the TJ Vysoké nad Jizerou for a long time. Rudolf Doubek died suddenly in 2013 at the age of 70.
