Rudolf Erhard

Rudolf Erhard (* 1951 ) is a German journalist and author.

biography

Rudolf Erhard grew up in Oberaudorf and began working as a freelance radio journalist for Bayerischer Rundfunk in 1977 while still studying . Since 1981 he has been working full-time at Bayerischer Rundfunk. State politics has been the focus of his work since 1982. He is the state correspondent for the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation in the Maximilianeum and is considered an expert on Bavarian state politics. Furthermore, Erhard works as a feature author for BR-Hörfunk.

On July 14, 2005 he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit .

On May 6, 2010, Rudolf Erhard competed against Ulrich Wilhelm in the election as director of the BR. Wilhelm won by 40: 3 votes.

Erhard is a member of the Bavarian State Parliament Press - State Press Conference Bavaria eV and was its chairman.

Until 2013, Erhard was a member of the board of directors of the free representation in the BR , an association representing the interests of the freelance workers of the Bavarian broadcasting company.
