Rudolf Günter Langer
Rudolf Günter Langer (born November 6, 1923 in Neisse ; † July 19, 2007 in Ingolstadt ) was a German writer and poet .
life and work
Langer grew up in Upper Silesia and came to Ingolstadt in Bavaria in 1945 after his escape. There he initially worked as a civil servant and then became self-employed as a salesman for jukeboxes and office machines .
Langer wrote his first poems during a stay in a field hospital during World War II . The experiences during the war shaped his literary work, in which he denounced lack of freedom, inhumanity and materialism from everyday situations. In 1973 he published his first work with "Ortswechsel". Other stories , volumes of poetry and a novel followed later .
The city of Ingolstadt honored the author in 1975 with the Ingolstadt Art Prize; Langer also received the Andreas Gryphius Prize in 1977 .
