Rudolf Gorgenländer (born January 5, 1974 in Karaganda , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former German - Kazakh ice hockey player .

Career

Gorgenländer is of Russian German descent and was already in the squad of the EHC Freiburg in the 1991/92 season at the age of 17 . In the two years as a regular player there, he achieved great popularity with the audience due to his courageous appearance. After the license revocation for Freiburg in 1993, he moved to Schwenninger ERC . There he stayed a season and was also in the German squad at the Junior World Championship in 1994 .

From the 1994/95 season to 1996/97 he played three seasons for the Frankfurt Lions . From there he returned to Freiburg for another three years. From 2000 he changed every season. His clubs were the EC Bad Nauheim , Heilbronner EC , the Bietigheim Steelers and Eisbären Regensburg . In the 2003/04 season he returned to the DEL. Again it was his hometown club, the Wölfe Freiburg , that signed him. After a year he moved to EV Duisburg , which he left after only a year to play again in Regensburg.

The 2006/07 season brought him promotion to the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga with EV Ravensburg . After he was able to keep the class with Ravensburg in the following year, Gorgenländer moved back to Freiburg, which had now also been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey. He ended his career in Freiburg in 2010. At the beginning of 2012 he will return to EHC Freiburg, which is now playing in the Regionalliga Süd / West , to support the team in the final phase of the season.
