Rudolf Gscheidlinger

Rudolf Gscheidlinger (born September 3, 1876 in Braunau am Inn, Upper Austria ; † September 29, 1948 ibid) was an Austrian goldsmith and politician .

Gscheidliner comes from a respected, pious Braunau merchant family. Originally, he was to become a priest, but after the death of his father in 1890 he learned the goldsmith's trade and made in 1903 independently . He was married twice; there are two children each from both marriages. Gscheidlinger was active in the economic field; he was a member of the chamber council and co-founder of the Volks- und Gewerbebank Braunau. For his services, he received the professional title of commercial councilor .

Gscheidlinger was also very active politically and played a decisive role in Braunau. He was a leader in the German Gymnastics Federation . From 1912 to 1934 and then from 1938 to 1945 he was a member of the Braunau municipal council, and between 1925 and 1931 he was a member of the state parliament for the Greater German Party . He was valued as an impressive speaker. Since 1925 Gscheidlinger was also a member of the State Railway Council .
