Rudolf Haarmann

Rudolf Haarmann (born June 8, 1883 in Bonn , † April 23, 1962 in Münden ) was a German administrative lawyer and municipal official.

Life

Haarmann was the son of the mayor of Witten, Gustav Haarmann . He started at the University of Marburg to study law and was on 30 January 1904 Corps Teutonia Marburg recipiert . When he was inactive , he moved to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He passed the legal traineeship exam in 1906 and was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD. Since 1910 assessor, he joined the internal administration of Prussia. In 1911 he came to Geestemünde as a city counsel . During the First World War he was with the General Government of Belgium in 1915/16 . He was then mayor of (Hannoversch) Münden from 1917 to 1934. In 1935 he became managing director of the Association of German Iron Foundries (VDE) in Berlin. In the British occupation zone he was district administrator for the district of Münden in 1945/46 . He was married to Henny Bargmann from Bremerhaven since 1914. The marriage produced a daughter.
