Rudolf Hagemann (Consistorial President)

Rudolf Hagemann (* 1837 in Lüneburg ; † May 24, 1906 in Hanover ) was a German lawyer, most recently president of the Evangelical Lutheran Consistory in Hanover.

Life

Hagemann studied law in Göttingen and was a member of the Corps Friso-Luneburgia there . In 1859 he joined the Hanoverian judicial service as an auditor. At the time of the annexation of the Kingdom of Hanover by Prussia , he was a district court assessor in Nienburg / Weser , from where he was transferred in June 1867 in the same function to Hanover and in 1868 as assistant judge at the higher court in Hildesheim . In 1869 he became a senior court assessor in Stade. He later moved back to Hildesheim and then to Hanover. In June 1876 he was appointed senior judge. When the judiciary was reorganized in 1879, he became a district judge. In November 1882 he was appointed regional court director in Lüneburg , but returned to Hanover in the summer of 1885. In September 1890 he left the judicial service and was appointed director of the consistory in Hanover. He was also an extraordinary member of the Evangelical Lutheran State Consistory. In July 1896 he was given the status of consistorial president. In 1898 he retired. He died in May 1906 of complications from a stroke.
